About this deal

i am now waiting for the front and rear aluminium wheel hub and I think she will be close to finish. I am also trying not to do things "for future". I did this with my other hobbies and really regretted in many cases. Diffs ready. I mounted almost all parts on drill and sanded edges, to remove all imperfections and excess of material. Probably it will not make any difference, but at least I know that I done everything I could. Somehow, I think that big two gears inside diff need some sanding. They touch diff body and should be perfectly smooth. Straight from box, they have quite a lot material on edge. It is like plastic "hair" on edge. While the TT02S is better with different suspension, the R's are just the base TT02 with some hopups. I'm not a fan of the TT02 other than as a great basher or for the entrt level racing class. Special feature 4: Lightweight and rigid FRP damper stays sharpen the suspension, and offer a range of setup options.

Of course, it retains the TT-02's excellent drivability and ease of assembly and maintenance, while motor cooling ducts and receiver case add to the model's durability. The kit comes with a 17T pinion. If you do install the 68T spur that comes with the high-speed gear set, you won't be able to use the 17T pinion since the smallest pinion that can be paired to the 68T spur is a 18T pinion.

The standard kit 70T spur, with FDRs that can go all the way down to 7.28, is already great for a buggy. The listed values are top-speed, acceleration is another matter. Higher-powered motors will feel a lot more punchy throughout. i’m pretty happy with the tt02b as is for the moment, but if you see other suggestions to improve or to anticipate wear out or break, please don’t hesitate Touring cars are generally run with FDRs in the 5.5 to 7.5 range (the kit standard 8.27 is too short).Apologies if it's a bit of a dumb question but I don't really have much experience with gearing. I understand the theory behind it though. Just wondered if it's worth installing it whilst I'm doing the other hop ups?

There is a lot of thread about the Tt02b but they are pretty old for the most. If someone knows a good place with all the parts number he would recommend, that would be very appreciated. what is a good spur teeth/pinion teeth combination to increase speed in a buggy like neoscorcher / plasma edge Gear Ratio = 10.71:1 (with kit-included pinion gear) ★Type 540 Motor ★Requires an Electronic Speed Controller (sold separately) I really recommend to use sand paper on "cross" which holds gears. There is line where moulds are joined together and gears do not spin freely. Few passes of 800 grit, than 1200 and 2500.There is a lot of upgrades for that model and I really wonder which ones are a must to have (like the metal diff for example). I confirm the ball bearings kit is NOT the same up to a certain point. Indeed, the size of the bearings for the wheels are slightly smaller than the one for the TT02B. Thus on my Tt02, I was only able to install the driveshaft and the diff ones.

wheel double wishbone suspension features oil dampers, and iscombined with high-grip spiked tires to give excellent traction. The listed top-speed for the lower-powered motors when using very low FDR (high ratio) would need quite a long straight and therefore impractical.

Shipping costs for bulky goods:

The TT-02B chassis is the buggy evolution of Tamiya’s popular 4WD entry level unit, the TT-02 chassis.
