Hollyleaf confronts Leafpool and attempts to kill her by forcing her to eat poisonous deathberries (yew berries), but does not follow through when Leafpool does not resist, noting that she has already lost everything as a result of this revelation: she is now rejected by Crowfeather, her kits, and has lost her position as ThunderClan's medicine cat, as medicine cats are forbidden from having a mate. Distraught with the negative reactions to her announcement, Hollyleaf flees into the tunnels below WindClan's territories, which collapse on her. She is presumed dead by the Clans.

In the Warriors universe, there are four Clans of feral cats that live in a forest: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. The Clans are structured, with different cats having different positions, including leader, deputy, warrior, medicine cat, apprentice, etc. Cats in each Clan live and hunt in their own territory, which they defend from other cats. Each Clan is adapted to its own types of prey and members usually possess (or are taught) special skills which suit the territory's terrain. StarClan is a group of the Clans' deceased ancestors who give spiritual guidance to the Clans. StarClan warriors keep watch over the Clans, usually watching the Clan they lived in while alive. They provide guidance to the Clans, often through dreams and other signs like omens. Squirrelstar is the current leader of ThunderClan in the lake territories. She was born as Squirrelkit to Firestar and Sandstorm alongside Leafkit. As an apprentice, Squirrelpaw was mentored by Dustpelt. While her sister was calm and patient, Squirrelpaw was independent, brave, and fiercely passionate, which often got her into trouble. She followed Brambleclaw on the journey to the sun-drown place, where the two grew close. When the Clans arrived at their new home by the lake, she was given her warrior name, Squirrelflight. She became mates with Brambleclaw, much to her close friend Ashfur's dismay. Unbeknownst to the rest of the Clan, Leafpool gave birth to Crowfeather's kits, and Squirrelflight protected her sister by raising the kits as her own. She and Brambleclaw raised Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf; however, after the truth was revealed, Brambleclaw was furious about being lied to, and the two broke up. Squirrelflight also mentored Foxleap and Rosepetal.Lionpaw, Hollypaw, Jaypaw, Brambleclaw, Breezepaw, Crowfeather and Tawnypelt travel to the mountains and help the Tribe with the rogue problem. [7] However, it turns out to just be a solar eclipse with no meaning whatsoever - unfortunately, falling on the day that Sol had predicted. Sunrise ended up being my favourite of the series, as the tension during the whole book with the big plot twist was overall a lot of fun to read. But now coming to my final thoughts about The Power of the Three! I liked this one way more than the second season since we have way more interesting MCs than in The New Prophecy. Jayfeather is one of my favorite Warriors cats of all time and Hollyleaf is close to being there. I’m not the biggest fan of Lionblaze, but my opinion of him got better throughout the end. The biggest critique I have is that nothing is really happening. We get to know the prophecy, we discover the powers the three might or might not have with them together, but that’s it. Sol is there as well, but what was the higher purpose and what are his intentions? (Update: I just finished Omen of the Stars and I’m still unsure what Sol wants). Just stirring up the mistrust between the clan cats? It’s quite obvious that this season is only supposed to function as the prequel to Omen of The Stars and that's a bit sad. What was the point of having Hollyleaf through all the rest of the books if she wasn't one of the three and was just going to die? It makes the whole series seem a little pointless. I think the Erins did it because she didn't have any special powers like Lionblaze and Jayfeather, but still.
