About this deal

If you’d like to make the straps more comfortable you can cover the straps in a softer material or use non-elastic soft fabric that will hold your child’s weight. Households along Ensbury Park Road, Victoria Avenue and Vicarage Road have been entertained with Lana’s attire and have been showing her a lot of support on her daily deliveries. After coming clean on social media as the 'post box postie', Lana has received yet more thanks and praise for her service from children and families in Bournemouth. We recommend anyone in Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Shetlands, Scottish Highlands/off the coast of Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands use Priority Delivery unless you require an urgent timed delivery through UPS courier which is at an additional cost. Please see below for postage prices.

Optimus Prime takes some planning and careful recycled cardboard collection, but it does make an epic Halloween costume! Box Prep: Take your cardboard box and tape or hot glue the top side shut. Using a pencil, outline the front cut out of the box. It should be a rectangle shape with a diagonal bottom. It should be wide enough to showcase your child inside. Of course, it would be ideal if you had the perfect size box and recycled that instead. The unfortunate thing about Uline is that it requires you to buy 5 of the boxes, but you can pool your resources and ask around if other friends want to be Barbie and split the cost! I happen to make lots of DIYs from cardboard so I am not worried about reusing the cardboard for many other projects. With Halloween just around the corner it’s time to start dreaming up some costume ideas. If your kids are like mine, they will likely change their minds about what they want about 23 times leading up to the day. So you should have a few different options up your sleeve! Since most of us have a couple of boxes lying around at all times, some ideas for cardboard box costumes are good to have on hand. Most of these you can whip up using only scissors, string and paint! Last year, my boys insisted on being an ambulance and a police car. We all worked together to put these together, and they were very well received in our neighbourhood. I think people really appreciate the effort of a homemade costume! At any rate, my boys were super happy and super cute, and that’s what matters most!

Be the year’s fun and unique standout Halloween costume with this epic DIY Barbie costume using cardboard and paint!

Dressing up: Dress your child in Barbie or Ken style clothes. Since this is based off Barbie the Movie, think California beach vibes: floral shirts, shorts, flip-flops, sunglasses, and perhaps a surfboard accessory to complete the look. Yes, I understand that cardboard box costumes aren’t going to last more than one night either, but at least they required a little imagination and effort. You’ll be making memories to last a lifetime!

For added detail, consider gluing some Barbie accessories like tiny shoes, purses, or other doll items around the box.Up! Super cute idea and a great way to recycle an old cardboard box. This great Up! Costume is sure to be a huge hit. I like that this batch doesn’t require a lot of box reconstruction. It’s basically just leaving the box as is with the head and arm holes cut out, then painting. Ok except for the mailbox, which is hilarious and reminds me of Gru. Haha I’m a big believer in the homemade Halloween costume. And not just because I’m an avid crafter and any excuse for a project will do! Well, if you’ll never be afford a real Birkin bag, at least you can enjoy dressing your kid up as one!
