About this deal

Because of his pronouncements and the nature of his work over the years, Tesla gained a reputation in popular culture as the archetypal "mad scientist. Un alt vis de-al lui era tehnologia wireless, la care se gândea încă de pe atunci, la începutul secolului XX, și prin care aspira la o comunicare facilă și instantanee între oameni, fără restricții.

In accordance with the preceding, the human energy will then be given by the product 1/2 MV2 = 1/2 MV x V, in which M is the total mass of man in the ordinary interpretation of therm "mass", and V is a certain hypothetical velocity (.matbuatlar yerine Nicola Tesla "İcatlarım" matbuatının özellikle fen konularına dair olmayan cüzlerini okumakla mükelleftir. He then goes on to say "The truth about this is that we need stimulants to do our best work under present living conditions, and that we must exercise moderation and control our appetites and inclinations in every direction. My first impressions from Tesla's own writings, published originally by Hugo Gernsback (often regarded as one of the founding fathers of the Science Fiction publishing industry) in The Electrical Experimenter, were that the man was a bit of a grandiose braggart, as well as being completely obsessive-compulsive. I found it fascinating that Tesla experienced flashing lights in his brain that caused him to be able to look at things in 3D, he could see them not just imagine them - he could both construct and operate them in his mind.

He first found employment with Thomas Edison, but the two inventors were far apart in background and methods, and their separation was inevitable. As someone who is starting a company (Goodreads), I'm starting to have a big appreciation for those who can believe in an idea against all odds, when everyone else believes it can't be done. In the final essay, the longest of the three, he tackles the problem of humanity's pressing need to tap into alternative energy sources, and I wish I could say more than that because it sounds really interesting, but frankly, I have no idea what the fuck he's talking about. I had high expectations to this book (mostly because of the words on the back of the cover, saying that my life would never be the same after this read).

He loved his inventions, and the inventing process, so much that he magnified the positive aspects, feeling a swelling of involuntary love, while seeming to completely forget the absolute torment it caused him at times.

My only disappointment in the man is that he was quite a determinist, to such an extent that he would have made B. poate ar fi fost și mai multe dacă laboratorul lui n-ar fi ars în 1895, pierzându-se documente și note foarte importante. You know in a film or comic, where someone supersmart is shown accomplishing astonishing physical feats through lightning-quick calculation of the physics of a situation? Christ is but one person, yet he is of all people, so why do some people think themselves better than some other people? Among many other astounding inventions, including building an AC motor, he came up with the concept of wireless communication in the 1890's! Sobald er sich wieder in seinen Berichten über Maschinen ergibt, gab ich mir zwar Mühe, aber das war dann doch zu viel für mich. In the last few decades of his life, he ended up living in diminished circumstances as a recluse in Room 3327 of the New Yorker Hotel, occasionally making unusual statements to the press.
