About this deal

Formed by ex-session drummer Maurice White, Earth, Wind and Fire gravitated from their rangy jazzy beginnings in the early 1970s into one of funk's mightiest motherships. Well, it has the biggest HITS from their most Classic albums in "That's The Way Of The World", "Gratitude", "Spirit" and "All 'N' All" (I would have also included songs from "Head To The Sky" and "Open Our Eyes" as well, but I get it, it was a different time in how they did compilations).

The album contains their first two hit songs from the album "Open Our Eyes" which went gold with "Mighty Mighty" and "Kalimba Story", and also their follow up hits "That's the Way of the World", "Shining Star" and "Reasons", which has been widely copied since then. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. This picture disc is of great quality, very playable and much better than its original 70's release sound wise.

Over on disc two, "Help Somebody" is an insanely up-tempo, horn-heavy Boogaloo style romp, while "Momet of Truth" is a low-down funk number straight out of the top drawer. Featuring all the hits of the 100 million selling band, this album is bursting with groovy, funky, and soulful music.

We also run our own record label, we host a show on Solar radio and produce mixes of our favourite sounds on Mixcloud. This collection, however, including Fantasy, In The Stone and Let's Groove draws almost entirely on their peak period, between 1977 and 1981, when Earth, Wind and Fire were arguably the finest pop / funk band on the planet. The dance floor would usually be in the garage, or patio and the music would be in sets of "fast" music, such as disco, funk or calypso/soca, and "slow" music, which of course became the hold-me-tight session. With certified classics such as "September", "Let's Groove", "Boogie Wonderland", "After The Love Has Gone", "Fantasy" and "Shining Star", this is a must for anyone with a turntable.VG+ (Very Good Plus): This record has clearly been played before, but has only a moderate reduction in sound quality, despite a possible slight loss of shine and some surface marks. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. This album is a true classic that has stood the test of time and continues to inspire and delight music lovers around the world. has been pressed as a collectible picture disc, featuring the iconic EWF gold coin logo plus a die-cut insert, especially for RSD 2015.
