Yes, there are still limitations and app compatibility issues, but we’d still recommend a Chromebook to anyone looking for their first computer. This will likely be something such as /dev/sdb but this will vary based on the number of disks attached to your computer.
A Powerwash can only be done by the device owner/primary user of the device, If you have a managed ChromeOS deivce from a company or school, you will need to contact your school administrator or companies support desk for assistance. That said, if you want a ChromeBook as your primary device, then my advice is to think of it very well.With internet connectivity not being an issue, and most of my work having long since shifted to the cloud, working in ChromeOS was a non-issue. The ability to put your Convertible into developer mode may be disallowed by your administrator if you are a managed device issued by a school or business. ASUS released the C214 in the spring of 2019, and it has been the best Chromebook for students ever since, especially since its strongest competitor, the Dell 3100 2-in-1, is sold out through the end of the fall semester. Battery life is rated at 11 hrs and I found the device easily getting me through two workdays of heavy use. In fact, as safety is pretty much the most important thing about any device, especially for kids, this makes it a pretty good deal.It's not a requirement to using the C214, but it's been very nice to use and I've only nibbled on it twice. It comes as no surprise that this device didn’t deliver the most pleasant experience, from a laptop reviewer’s point of view.
