Personal Profile

I have over twenty years experience in Wedding Photography, starting out as my father's wedding assistant at the age of twelve. Over the years my skills and love of wedding photography have developed and I now offer a friendly, professional service of my own.

Wedding PhotographyKerry

Always the photographer and never the bride!

I have always loved weddings, and am particularly drawn to the more traditional style of photography, however, I also enjoy interspersing these traditional images with a more modern and relaxed reportage style. When planning your big day attention to detail is always important. It's never too early to arrange your photographer, as some help and advice with regard to colour and theme can be invaluable.

hands
Pre-wedding meetings at the venue are always advisable, as inspiration for many photographs can come from the surroundings. This meeting is included in the cost
.

I'm happy to cover all aspects of the day from make-up to the last waltz, as this helps to create a pictorial record of the day. I can provide albums and/or picture-books to suit your requirements. I can also provide all images on CD and unlike many photographers I offer a joint copyright, which allows you to have copy prints produced at your leisure and at a cost to suit your budget.

Portraiture

The portrait is a very personal form of photography, many clients have their own ideas for the style of portrait they require, so I'm always happy to meet these requirements, whilst also being here to offer inspiration.

PublicityBlackwell

My most recent publicity work has been for Stiperstones C of E Primary School, Producing images for their SOS (Save our School) campaign, other recent work includes shoots for Jigsaw Sound Choral Group, and eighty strong mixed voice choir based in shrewsbury. Continuing work for a number of Shropshire bands, with very different styles, for example “DayLevel” folk duo and “Blackwell” blues duo. Using my photography and graphics design skills I have created advertising, and publicity images along with CD covers for various artists, “Lullabies Late in Liverpool 8” (SureStart Granby), “The Watcher” and “Souls in Transit” (DayLevel), "Somewhere In My Dreams" (Fiona Davis) and "The Complete Picture" (Jigsaw Sound).

In some of these projects I used the photographs to create a corporate image for the groups, designing their CD artwork and covers, websites, business cards, flyers and posters.

Calendars

I have carried out the photography and graphic design for a number of fund-raising calendars including one for the Farnsworth Fire Brigade, raising funds for the Fire Service Benevolent Fund, this was a calendar of firemen in some very "cheeky" poses. I have also created a series of calendars to raise funds for Snailbeach Village Hall entitled “Clean Men” and "Dirty Women” both of which were very sucessful fund-raisers along the lines of the Womens’ Institute.

Landscape

Focusing in recent years upon my new home of Shropshire and in particular on The Stiperstones range of hills, I have produced a series of photographic prints and canvases which are available from my home in The Stiperstones Inn. Contributions can occasionally be seen in the "Shropshire Life" magazine. While my first love and the main inspiration for my early photographic development has always been Egypt, its art, culture and people, I also enjoy photographing the many different landscapes and cityscapes around the world.
